"A

chosen GAUCHO as the Grand
Prize Winner of the Unsigned Artist
Competition. Chosen from the Top 10
Finalists, GAUCHO recieves the
FANTASTIC prize of a one-day,
12-hour recording session working

* Their track was placed in front of
an expert panel of judges from the
music industry. Sitting on the panel
was The Feeling's lead singer, Dan
Gillespie as well as Jo Charrington,

Well, its been a
while since our last website update,
but that’s not to say we haven’t
been doing anything! On the
contrary. Gaucho have had quite a
busy few months on and off the road.
We’ve been busy with instruments in
hand, back in the studio finishing
off tunes, writing new ones and out
treading the boards. Leeds has been
a city, which has had the enjoyment
of our audible delights on several
occasions recently, and we’ve not
only been entering competitions left
right and centre, but doing quite
well in them too!!
Out of the thousands who entered,
we were selected to be in the final
16 of the ‘SliceThePie!’
competition:
“Dear Gaucho... Congratulations -
Amazing News! You are one of our
Artists selected by the Scouts to
appear in the All Genres 1 Showcase
on Slicethepie! The average score of
all reviews across all of your songs
was higher than almost all of the
other Artists participating in this
Arena”
We were also selected to be the
finals of the Emusic.TV and Colgate
Max Fresh Unsigned Artist
Competition for a chance to have a
12-hour recording session at the
famous Abbey Road Studios:
“Congratulations! You've been
chosen as one of the Top 10
Finalists of the EMUSIC.TV
and Colgate Max Fresh Unsigned
Artist Competition…The votes and
star ratings have been calculated,
and the highest scoring entries have
been selected and placed in the Top
10 Finalists List”
This competition is still running
and the judges are choosing as we
speak. It officially ends at the end
of January…so not long to go now!
We also recently progressed to
the semi-finals of the Live and
Unsigned Competition of which the
finals shall be shown on ITV in
April of this year.
There’s a new video in the
pipeline but that’ll be a wee while
before it hits your screens… but
hang tight… it should be another
beauty!
There’s no doubt a load more to
tell you, but this should be enough
to get you excited for now, so we’ll
say adieu…but stay tuned so you
don’t miss the next exciting
instalment!

After the excellent 'Teen Fest' at the weekend on one of the only dry days this summer, Gaucho would like to thank all the 'Teen Fest' team for another successful event and a huge thanks to everyone who turned up to see the bands.
We are now hoping for another glorious day next Sunday (29th) where they will be appearing at the Newcastle Arms Charity Festival (details below) with proceeds going to the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
If this receives the same amount of support as 'Teen Fest' this should be another excellent day.
Hope to see you all there...
